Grand Hyatt Tokyo's Continuing Support for Tohoku Region

As a part of "Hyatt Thrive",
a global CSR programme with participation
from more than 450 Hyatt properties,
Grand Hyatt Tokyo is continuously involved
with various projects and activities to support
the Tohoku Region,
struck by the great earthquake that hit
Japan's east coast on March 11, 2011.
Grand Hyatt Tokyo seeks to continue these efforts
by offering hands-on, community-based support.
To date, we have sold accommodation packages
donating 5% of room revenue,
donated 5% of banquet revenue,
donated the total revenue from sales
of Hyatt original wine "Canvas",
set up donation boxes in the hotel
and have sent hotel staff as volunteers
to assist the Tohoku region.
Through these activities, Grand Hyatt Tokyo has
donated a total of over 39 million yen
to charity organisations including
the Japan Red Cross and delivered
1,000 Christmas gifts and
350 Christmas ornaments with cards collected
from guests from around the world
to the children of Tohoku.
