Grand Hyatt Tokyo's Continuing Support for Tohoku Region

As a part of "Hyatt Thrive",
a global CSR programme with participation
from more than 450 Hyatt properties,
Grand Hyatt Tokyo is continuously involved
with various projects and activities to support
the Tohoku Region,
struck by the great earthquake that hit
Japan's east coast on March 11, 2011.
Grand Hyatt Tokyo seeks to continue these efforts
by offering hands-on, community-based support.
To date, we have sold accommodation packages
donating 5% of room revenue,
donated 5% of banquet revenue,
donated the total revenue from sales
of Hyatt original wine "Canvas",
set up donation boxes in the hotel
and have sent hotel staff as volunteers
to assist the Tohoku region.
Through these activities, Grand Hyatt Tokyo has
donated a total of over 39 million yen
to charity organisations including
the Japan Red Cross and delivered
1,000 Christmas gifts and
350 Christmas ornaments with cards collected
from guests from around the world
to the children of Tohoku.

Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s ‘Wish Upon a Star’ Holiday Charity Program

At Grand Hyatt Tokyo, as part of our ongoing support of Tohoku, a charity program with the theme “Wish upon a Star” in collaboration with Kids Earth Fund was held from 11 November to 25 December 2016. The program supported children who were effected by natural disasters in Tohoku and Kumamoto regions.

Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s Gifts from Angels Christmas Program

Grand Hyatt Tokyo promoted its "Gifts from Angels" charity program, which featured various activities designed to support disabled people and children in the Tohoku region, an area hit by the earthquake and tsunami of March 2011. This charity program is a part of our commitment to assist the people in our community. Since March 2011, Grand Hyatt™ Tokyo has strived to support the communities affected by this catastrophic disaster through monetary donations, charitable contributions and volunteering efforts. A total of more than JPY 43 million had been donated as of September 2015.
