2017 Holiday Charity Program – “Colors of Hope”

From 9 November to 25 December, Grand Hyatt Tokyo will host its “Colors of Hope” charity program, featuring various activities designed to support people with disabilities as well as children in the Tohoku and Kumamoto regions, areas hit by devastating earthquakes and a tsunami. Since March 2011, Grand Hyatt Tokyo has strived to support the communities affected by these catastrophic disasters through monetary donations, charitable contributions and volunteering efforts. As of September 2017, a total of more than JPY 59 million has been donated and the hotel hopes to continue increasing the amount each year.

The theme for this holiday season is “Colors of Hope”. Like different shades of color, each one of us comes from different backgrounds and our experiences make us unique and individual in our own way. But when we work together as one, we can contribute to a bigger movement and bring hope and happiness to the lives of the children in the Tohoku and Kumamoto regions. Grand Hyatt Tokyo works with Re Kikou, a nonprofit organization that recycles wine and champagne corks into new products, helping generate employment and support independence for people with disabilities. Corks recycled from the hotel are used by Re Kikou to make cork ornaments and the revenue is donated to charity.

Enjoy the holiday season at Grand Hyatt Tokyo this year and join us for “Colors of Hope”, an uplifting charity program that will help bring cheer during this season of giving. Please see below for further details.
