Grand Hyatt Tokyo Turns “Green” with New Spring Menus to Support the SDGs

Grand Hyatt Tokyo will “turn green” this spring with menus focusing on environmental responsibility and sustainable seafood, spreading further awareness of the SDGs as well as reinforcing Hyatt’s commitment to caring for our planet and our communities. We will collaborate with Food Loss Bank and their “Ugly Love” project to actively reduce food waste as well as support local NPOs such as the Green Fund by donating a portion of the proceeds.

The French Kitchen will offer a new spring semi-buffet dinner featuring a lineup of fresh seafood that is sustainably caught or responsibly farmed. In addition to the seafood, diners may also enjoy The French Kitchen’s popular roast beef as well as dishes made with misshapen vegetables in collaboration with a local company working to reduce food waste, the Food Loss Bank.

    As the weather warms up, The Oak Door terrace will quite literally “turn green” with a spring menu incorporating locally sourced produce such as vegetables from Kamakura, mussels from Aomori and grass-fed beef from Miyazaki prefecture, that will not only provide our guests with the freshest possible ingredients but also reduce CO2 emissions associated with transportation.
