‘THE LIGHT OF HAPPINESS’ CHRISTMAS PROGRAMME 2011
The magical holiday season returns to Roppongi Hills, glistening with illuminations from Keyakizaka Street. This season, Grand Hyatt Tokyo introduces ‘The Light of Happiness’, a hotel charity programme with various activities to bring happiness to children in the Tohoku region. Enjoy a warm holiday season with Christmas trees decorated by artists, festive decorations and live violin and piano music.
Christmas charity area
Period：17 November － 25 December
The hotel lobby is being transformed into a Christmas charity area to share the joys of Christmas. There will be three Christmas trees, two of which are designed by renowned Japanese artists Yuichi Higashionna and Ruriko Murayama, and one tree,’ The Light of Happiness Tree’ for our guests to decorate.
1） Christmas Gifts and Messages for Tohoku Kids
A reception desk will be set up in the Christmas Charity Area to receive Christmas gifts.’ The Light of Happiness Tree’ will be installed and decorated with handmade ornaments and message cards. Please join us in sending warm messages by adding to this special Christmas tree. Collected gifts and message cards will be sent to children of the Tohoku region via Kids Earth Fund.

Christmas Ornaments applies to
– Guests who bring Christmas gifts during the period
– Guests who purchase charity ornaments（JPY 500） at restaurants

* The last day for collection is 20 December.
* Please note that ornaments are limited and are subject to change.
* Christmas gifts are limited to brand new clothes, stationery items and toys.
2） Artists’ Collaboration Tree
Based on the’ Light of Happiness’ theme, two renowned artists will create Christmas trees in the hope of bringing happiness to the children of Tohoku.

3）Charity Photo Studio
Take a memorable photo with a Christmas tree at our charity photo studio for JPY 1,000. All proceeds from the photo studio will be donated to KIDS EARTH FUND for the children of Tohoku.

4）Champagne Lounge
A Champagne Lounge will open in the hotel lobby from 2 to 24 December, offering champagne, red and white wine by the glass, and Christmas ornaments with message cards that will be sent to the children of Tohoku.

The Light of Happiness Stay
Grand Hyatt Tokyo will offer a special charity accommodation package, from which part of the proceeds will be donated to the children of Tohoku. Handmade Christmas ornaments with a message card to decorate’ The Light of Happiness Tree’ in the lobby will be given as gifts.

Through the medium of children’s art, based on” Kids Helping Kids”, KIDS EARTH FUND supports children throughout the world who suffer from the results of war, poverty and environmental contamination. Since 11 March, KIDS EARTH FUND has been active in supporting the children of Tohoku.
